Rules for all LDBM Club Tournaments
1. All participants shall observe a high standard of ethics, safety and personal conduct at all times. Alcohol and/or illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at any time during the tournament or weigh-in. Violation of rules is grounds for disqualification, Guests will be asked to NOT return.
2. Tournament water: is as defined as all public waters which are accessible by boat from the tournament start site. The tournament director will announce any exception.
3. No competitor shall fish from shore.
4. Trailering a boat during tournament hours is prohibited.
5. Coast Guard approved life vests and kill switches MUST be worn/used at all times that the main combustion engine is in gear. Violation of this will result in ( see rule 17. )
6. An aerated live well for each boat is mandatory.
7. It is the responsibility of participants to check in timely at the weigh station.
8. Tackle used shall be limited to artificial baits with the exception of pork baits and rinds.
9. NO more than one line per fisherman is permitted in the water at any given time.
10. A minimum of 12” will be maintained. Any fish under 12" will not be weighed.
11. A maximum number of fish per boat will be announced by the tournament director before start time.
12. A DEAD fish will have a 1/4 lb (.25) penalty assessed for every pound of the dead fish.
13. A 1.00 lb penalty will be assessed for every full one minute late. (LATE) is defined as (NOT off plane and waving distance from the ramp.)
14. Dead fish will not be eligible for lunker points.
15. Tie breakers will be decided by 1st the greatest number of fish entered 2nd by the weight of the single largest fish. If still tied, the points will be shared.
16. $25.00 mandatory co-angler fee to be given to the boater the morning of the tournament.
17. All participants must follow these rules and all Vermont State and Federal Laws during the tournament. Any violation will result in a last place weight. Failure to wear the kill switch and life vest will Disqualify the violator from our AOY trail after 3 violations! The Co-Boater will be responsible for observing the kill switch operation.
18. Points: First place = 1 point, second place = 2 points and so on. No weight or leave early = last place finish. Places can be shared. Absent = One place after last place points.
